Praha začne odvážet sníh z centra do Vltavy
Prague - Snow will start to be removed from Prague centre to the Vltava River this afternoon in order to free streets for emergency ambulances, security forces and deliveries, the Prague City Hall press department has told CTK.
Heavy snowfall started in the city last Friday.
In the Kbely neighbourhood, 38 centimetres of snow fell, which is five centimetres more than in 1979 when the blanket was the deepest.
Hydrometeorologists say the overall average of snow in the city has been the highest since 1993.
The intensity of snowfall has now been abating.
