Prague - The Czech senior government Social Democrats (CSSD) would come third in the May 23-24 European Parliament (EP) election after ANO and TOP 09, according to a model by Herzmann and Data Collection firm, which Herzmann presented today.
The government ANO movement of billionaire businessman Andrej Babis would gain six mandates for 20.1 percent. The opposition TOP 09 (14.2 percent) and the CSSD (12.5 percent) would have four seats each.
The opposition Communists (KSCM) would win three mandates for 12.2 percent of the vote, the Dawn of Direct Democracy (7.7 percent) would have two seats just as the Civic Democrats (ODS, 7.2 percent).
The junior government Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) would come ninth after the Greens and the Party of Free Citizens, and tightly before the Pirates. All four parties would end tightly below the EP´s 5 percent barrier.
Herzmann´s firm conducted the poll in the form of Internet and phone questioning on 511 "probable" voters on May 9-13.
