Prague - The Prague police have detained an internationally wanted Serb sentenced to 12 years in prison over murder, illegal arms and explosives possession and manufacturing of drugs in Serbia, police spokesman Tomas Hulan said on the Prague police web site today.
He was in hiding in Europe for a number of years, Hulan said.
The man, aged 35, was convicted in Serbia between 2005 and 2008, he added.
The police found that since the end of last year, he was visiting the Czech Republic where he was probably also involved in crime, Hulan said.
This may have been an extortion case in Prague, he added.
In Switzerland he may have committed armed robbery, Hulan said.
He said the Serb had been in hiding in a number of European countries, using at least three cover names when travelling.
