The soldier suffered moderate injuries in an attack on his patrol.

"The military special Airbus A-319 with the wounded soldier aboard landed at Prague-Kbely airport shortly after 13:00. The transport was accompanied by a team of physicians and health care personnel of the Czech Military," Sulc said.

The injured soldier´s condition is stable and it requires a specialised medical care, he added.

"With respect to the soldier´s family we will not release further details about his health condition," he noted.

Corporal J. M. was wounded in the night of Sunday when a patrol came under fire from hand and anti-tank weapons near the Bagram military base .

This was the second attack in Afghanistan last week.

On Tuesday, July 8, a suicide bomb killed four Czech soldiers on the spot, while the fifth succumbed to multiple severe injuries on Monday after his transport to the Czech Republic.
