Prague/Tripolis - The Czech Republic temporarily closed its embassy in Libya today, the Foreign Ministry has announced and the general staff said the military evacuated ten employees of the Czech diplomatic mission.

The Czechs were joined by 11 employees of the Swiss embassy.
All 21 evacuated people arrived aboard a CASA C-295 M at the Prague-Kbely airport tonight.
The Foreign Ministry has recommended that Czechs do not travel to Libya in the current situation.
The mutually hostile militia have been fighting in Tripolis and the country is experiencing the most difficult period since the regime of Muammar Gaddafi was toppled in 2011.
