Prague - The Czech Social Democrats (CSSD) have won the early general election polls with 20.45 percent, ahead of ANO 2011 (18.65 percent) and Communists (KSCM,14.91 percent), while the former senior ruling Civic Democrats (ODS) badly lost, according to the results after all constituencies were counted.
Fourth position went to TOP 09 (11.99 percent), followed by the ODS (7.72 percent), Dawn of Direct Democracy of senator Tomio Okamura (6.88 percent) and Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL, 6.78 percent) that returns after three-year absence to the Chamber of Deputies.
Turnout was 59.48 percent of eligible voters, according to the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) server.
Two more groupings will be represented in the Chamber of Deputies than in the previous lower house of parliament.
Three big Czech parties have lost compared with the 2010 elections. The biggest loss was registered by the ODS (13 percentage points). TOP 09 lost some 5 percentage points, the CSSD almost 2 percentage points.
The Communists, on the contrary, gained some 4 percentage points more votes than three years ago. The KDU-CSL will re-enter the Chamber of Deputies thanks to a 2 percentage point growth in support for it.
The CSSD has won 50 mandates in the 200-seat Chamber of Deputies, ANO 47, KSCM 33, TOP 09 26, ODS 16, KDU-CSL and the Dawn of Direct Democracy 14 seats each.
The Green Party (SZ) gained 3.19 percent of the vote, the Czech Pirates 2.66 percent and the Party of Free Citizens 2.46 percent.
The Party of Citizens´ Rights - the Zemanites (SPOZ) suffered a debacle gaining a mere 1.51 percent of the vote.
Jana Bobosikova´s Chin Up!, supported by former president Vaclav Klaus, got a mere 0.42 percent of the vote.
Turnout was about 3 percentage points lower than three years ago, when 62.6 percent of eligible voters came to the polls.
